Looking At The Redskins: Wide Receivers

This is the third article of a series of nine looking at the Redskins' positions. The team decided to go with youth in their wide receiving corp, but head coach Jay Gruden and his staff felt supremely confident about the players they had as there seems to be a plethora of talent. It takes good hands and speed to be a good wide receiver, so the question will be is how good are these guys.

Paul Richardson

Richardson is the "grizzled" veteran of this group despite being in his sixth season. Richardson has established himself as a legitimate scoring threat with his speed and his hands and will be the number one wide receiver for this team. He dealt with injuries last year, but they hope he comes back and does some damage on offense.

Trey Quinn

Quinn was a low draft pick for the Redskins, but he has an interesting skill set. He is a talented player, however, the question remains on how he will be used on offense. He could be a nice slot receiver.

Terry McLaurin

Arguably the most underrated draft pick by the Redskins, McLaurin might be the next big thing in the NFL. He has a lot of speed and great hands, he could be a star receiver in the future. There is a lot to like about him.

Kelvin Harmon

Harmon could be an underrated draft pick like McLaurin, but Harmon has shown his talent at NC State. He's also big and physical, something that the team could use. There is a lot to like about Harmon.

Steven Sims

The other Sims receiver, Steven ultimately won the job over Cam as it was a big shock to everyone. Sims played at Kansas, which isn't a big football school, but clearly there was something the team liked about him. He had a good preseason, but can it translate to the regular season?
