Washington is going into this season with a lot of unknowns. What will head coach Ron Rivera's do with his schemes? How will his young players turn out? Has he patched all the holes? How many wins will this team have? Hopefully early on in the season, those questions will be answered. However, the bigger question here will be how does Washington do this season. What are their chances in 2020? Well, let's take a look at their schedule.
Week 1: Philadelphia
Week 2: Arizona
Week 3: Cleveland
Week 4: Baltimore
Week 5: Los Angeles Rams
Week 6: New York Giants
Week 7: Dallas
Week 8: Bye
Week 9: New York Giants
Week 10: Detroit
Week 11: Cincinnati
Week 12: Dallas
Week 13: Pittsburgh
Week 14: San Francisco
Week 15: Seattle
Week 16: Carolina
Week 17: Philadelphia
Lots of pundits having the team not winning many games. That's fine, especially during a rebuild. However, that seems unlikely as Washington has enough talent to stay competitive. Realistically, the games against Carolina, Cincinnati, Detroit, New York Giants (x2), and Arizona are winnable for them. If they finish 6-10, that would be great. That being said, the team will likely go 4-12 as they could beat Cincinnati, Carolina, Detroit, and New York Giants (once). We'll have to see how that is played out, but it looks like another season of struggles. On the bright side, Washington will have a high draft pick in 2021.
