Previewing 2019/20 Season For Everton

After finishing eighth last season in the table, Everton looks poised to make a run at a European tournament spot whether it's Champions League or Europa this campaign. Marcel Brands made a flurry of big splash moves during the transfer window that showed how dedicated the club was to becoming a strong side.

The team had looked at trying to bring back both two players who came over on loan, midfielder Andre Gomes and center-back Kurt Zouma, as they were instrumental in Everton's success last season, but the team was only able to retain Gomes as Zouma stayed with Chelsea. However, Brands brought in some other talented players to make the team even better such as Fabian Delph, Alex Iwobi, Moise Kean, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, and Djibril Sidibe. The team already boasts such great talents as Jordan Pickford, Richarlison, Lucas Digne, Bernard, Gylfi Sigurdsson, and Yerry Mina. There's a lot to like here about the team.

While it will be hard for the club to notch down a Champions League spot, a Europa League spot doesn't seem so farfetched. That being said, the Blues are much improved upon and should be a difficult side to play. Once the squad gels together and develop some chemistry, we will see what the team is made out of.

Prediction: 6th or 7th on the table nabbing an Europa League spot.
