The Chicago White Sox have signed infielder Tim Beckham to a minor league contract. Beckham should expect to compete for a bench role in 2021. He is still currently serving an 80-game PED suspension, but this is only a minor league contract. Beckham was the No. 1 overall draft pick by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2008, so there clearly is some talent there that could be utilized. His last time he played in Major League Baseball with the Seattle Mariners, Beckham slugged .237/.293/.461 with 15 home runs, 47 RBIs, and 21 doubles.
