After a tumultuous week, which included being fined $40k, having his captaincy stripped, and being benched, Washington has announced they have released quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Haskins was the team's first first round draft pick in 2019 (Montez Sweat was the second first round draft pick), but after two seasons of struggle, he is no longer with Washington. This move was made a day after being benched in the team's loss to Carolina.
