Washington Releases Alex Smith

The Washington Football Team has announced they will release quarterback Alex Smith. His release will save about $15 million in salary cap and gives the team $53 million in cap room. Smith was named comeback player of the year and helped lead Washington back to the playoffs after going 5-1.
