Redskins Sign Mike Liedtke

The Redskins have signed offensive lineman Mike Liedtke to beef up their depth. The financial details are not clear, but Liedtke signed a one-year deal. It will be seen if he makes the team out of training camp.

Lietdke is a five year veteran, but really hasn't had much playing time as he has spend time on many practice squads and team's rosters. In fact, he's only played 10 games in his entire career with only three snaps on offense, the rest on special teams. Now how Lietdke will be utilized if he makes the team is unknown, but the fact he could provide depth on the offensive line (can play any position on the offensive line) and play on special teams is nice to have. Head Coach Ron Rivera likes versatility and Lietdke is a perfect embodiment of it.
