Redskins Re-Sign Jon Bostic, Nate Orchard, Caleb Brantley

The Redskins have brought back some key players from their 2019 season as linebacker Jon Bostic and defensive linemen Nate Orchard and Caleb Brantley have re-signed with the team. This should help bolster the team's depth more as well as stability on the roster. These players played well enough in 2019 to get a new contract with the franchise.

Brantley was a sixth round draft pick in 2017 for the Cleveland Browns, but found a home in Washington where he can contribute more often. He's been a stable presence for the Redskins for the past two seasons. In 2019, Brantley played in one game before he was injured.

Bostic is coming back on a two-year deal worth $5 million and this might be the signing that fans should be the most excited about. He was meant to be depth last season until Reuben Foster injured himself. Bostic has been a veteran since 2013 and he had a solid 2019 to show for his new contract as he played in all 16 games recording 105 tackles, a sack, an interception, and two passes defended.

Orchard will be seen as depth for the Redskins, but he played nicely for the team once he was signed in November. In five games, Orchard recorded 14 tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery, and defended one pass in 2019. He was a second round draft pick for the Browns in 2015 and has also played for the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks, and Miami Dolphins
