Redskins Hire Scott Turner As Offensive Coordinator

The Washington Redskins continue to bring in a slew of new coaches as head coach Ron Rivera has decided to bring in Scott Turner in as offensive coordinator. Turner also happens to be the son of former Redskins head coach Norv Turner, which some fans will recognize. It also meant that the offensive coordinator from 2019, Kevin O'Connell, was not to be retained.

Turner had been the quarterbacks coach under Rivera when they were both with the Carolina Panthers, but he did serve as the offensive coordinator in the last four games with Carolina in 2019. However, this will be his first job as an offensive coordinator in the league. He will be tasked with developing a productive offense and to also help aid with the development of quarterback Dwayne Haskins. It will be interesting to see what he does in 2020.
