The Redskins have claimed running back Wendell Smallwood from division rival Philadelphia Eagles. Because of the move, the team had to make a move and cut ties with running back Byron Marshall.
Smallwood was a fifth round draft pick in 2016. In his time with the Eagles he has started 12 games while rushing for five touchdowns and receiving one. He is expected to make his team debut against his former team.
