Old Glory has made a big splash as they have signed prop Steven Longwell. Longwell is a versatile prop as he can play at loosehead and at tighthead. That should give the squad more flexibility on match day. The 30 year old is listed at 5'11" and 276 lbs, so he packs quite a punch in the scrum. The veteran had spent his time playing in the Scottish Premiership with Ayr RFC and had recently played for Verona in Serie A, a second tier of Italian rugby. There was much needed help in the scrum and in the set piece, which Longwell should provide, but he is also a strong ball carrier which makes the offense even more lethal.
