Old Glory Signs Scrumhalf Harry Masters

James Rowe

Old Glory has signed scrumhalf Harry Masters to a 2021 Major League Rugby contract. The 24 year old Australian had played for University of Mary Washington as he led them to a National D1AA Championship in 2017 and was also named to the Collegiate All-American Third Team in 2019. Despite going undrafted in this year's MLR Collegiate Draft, Masters does find a home with Old Glory.

Masters can also play at fullback, but he's more than likely to be employed as just a scrumhalf. How he will be used remains to be seen, but one could expect Masters to be named to 23-man squad on matchdays. Either way, the team has seemingly been committed to developing young talent in hopes they become quality players and for depth.
