The White Sox have placed infielder Nick Madrigal on the injured list with a separated shoulder and will likely be out until the end of the month and could require surgery at the end of the season. This really depletes the infield depth as that forces the team to start both Leury Garcia and Danny Mendick as shortstop Tim Anderson is also out with an injury (though could be coming back very soon). This will give both these players an opportunity to show off the depth of the club and an opportunity to get more at bats. These next few weeks could be crucial to the Pale Hose in their quest to make the playoffs.
