Looking At The Redskins: Tight Ends

This is the fourth article of a series of nine looking at the Redskins' positions. The Redskins arguably have a very talented and experienced corp at tight end. The tight end is used in so many different ways like blocking or receiving, but the team is very lucky to have the type of players like these on their roster.

Jordan Reed

Reed is one of the best tight ends in the league, but the biggest problem is his injury woes. That being said, Reed can do so many things that it would be nice to see him stay healthy and do all the productive things he is capable of. The Redskins will need him to be as healthy as possible this year if they want to be successful offensively.

Vernon Davis

Davis seemingly is the ageless wonder as he has been in this league for a long time. That being said, as a backup, he still is great to have. He could fill in well if Reed is injured. He used to be a top tight end, but he's still a very good player.

Jeremy Sprinkle

Sprinkle is an underrated player and the Redskins liked him so much that they drafted him. He's a good receiver and could block well. What is interesting is whether he could develop into a starting caliber player.
