Looking At North Carolina: Forwards

Armando Bacot

Bacot is a freshman this year, but he will be asked to pair a formidable partnership with Garrison Brooks down low. He is 6'10" and 240lbs, so he is a big frame to play against. He is a 5-star recruit who should score a lot down on the paint and rebound the ball a lot.

Shea Rush

Rush is a senior, but he won't get much playing time. He provides depth and some breathers for others on the team from time to time.

Garrison Brooks

Brooks is one of the more important post players and will have a chance to team up with Bacot down low. He is the only player on the squad that is a returning starter, so he will have to get familiar with a lot of new teammates. One of the better forwards in the ACC, he is only a junior and will be an important piece going forward for the program. He is a defensive wizard, but if he gets into foul trouble, the team will really struggle without his presence on the court.

Sterling Manley

Manley is a talented player who has been dealing with injuries in his college career thus far. However, Manley does provide strength and is able to give Brooks a breather here and there. Injuries may have taken away some chances to see what his potential is, but he would be a pivotal player to have on the court.

Walker Miller

Another player who won't get much playing time.

Ryan McAdoo

Yet, another player who won't get much playing time.

Brandon Huffman

Huffman is big, he is the same height as Brooks and weighs 10 pounds more. Huffman is a work in progress, but his lack of playing time (not necessarily his fault) doesn't help his development. Huffman is a great defensive player and is excellent scoring from the paint. He will need to step up if this team will do anything this year, but he does provide depth.
