Midfielder and academy product Kieran Dowell has left Everton as he has transferred to Norwich City for an undisclosed fee. Dowell had joined the academy when he was seven. The 22-year old had made five appearances for the first team squad as he made his debut for the club in 2014 in Europa League as a substitute against FC Krasnodar. Dowell had loan spells with four different clubs over the years. Dowell was also a key contributor to the Under-23s Premier League 2 title winning squad in 2017.
Dowell had always been a very talented player, but with the type of players that were on the senior side, it would have been hard for him to find regular playing time. The best decision for him was to find an opportunity elsewhere if he wanted more playing time. Dowell will try his best to help Norwich City get back into the Premier League next season as they were relegated.
