Freddie Burns To Leave Bath At End Of Season

Back Freddie Burns will be leaving Bath at the end of the season. Burns will be heading over to play in Japan. The reason behind his departure is because of his lack of playing time for the club.

Burns has played in 66 matches for Bath since 2017, but was originally a Bath academy product before playing for other Premiership clubs in Gloucester and Leicester. Burns has been utilized as a flyhalf and as a fullback, but his playmaking skills might not have been used as well as they could've been. While splitting starting time at flyhalf with Rhys Priestland, Burns has come in as a substitute more often than starting. While losing his abilities will hurt for Bath, it gives more opportunities to other players looking for more playing time.
