FC Cincinnati have announced that they have acquired defender Ronald Mataritta from New York City FC. NYCFC in return gets $500,000 in General Allocation Money and could get $100,000 in GAM incentives. FC Cincinnati also signed Mataritta to a multi-year extension. Despite being from Costa Rica, Mataritta is a U.S. Permanent Resident thus taking up a domestic roster spot. Mataritta's career has been 106 appearances, including 89 starts, scoring four goals and adding 13 assists in MLS regular-season matches. He will likely start at left back in 2021.
