Everton has signed a talented French defender Niels Nkounkou from French club Olympique Marseille after his contract had expired. Nkounkou also has international experience having played for France Under-19s. He had appeared for Marseille in their 'B' squad having a hard time cracking the first team.
Nkounkou plays mostly at fullback and was a player that club had been following over the last year. He represents a very talented generation from France as evident of them winning the World Cup in 2018. Nkounkou is only 19, so he will play for Everton's U-23 side and has a chance to develop into a contributing player for the senior side.
