Everton has decided to loan forward Cenk Tosun to Crystal Palace for the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign. The hope is for Tosun to show some productivity by getting regular minutes. If the loan is successful, Everton could either sell Tosun or keep him in hopes that he can be productive for the team in the near future.
Tosun joined Everton two years ago from Besiktas for £27 million. During his time with Everton he has scored 10 goals in 51 appearances. Tosun has had history of being a legitimate goal scorer, but the productivity has not been there since he joined the Blues.
With Crystal Palace, the hope is that he can help them by being productive as they have been struggling to find the back of the net all season and for Everton to decide the future on him. If he is productive at Crystal Palace, selling him for a decent profit would be nice or having another legitimate scoring threat for the 2020/21 campaign. That will all be predicated on whether Tosun performs well for Crystal Palace or not. It will also be determined by whether he fits into manager Carlo Ancelotti's system.
