The White Sox have placed starting pitcher Carlos Rodon on the injured list with shoulder soreness. To take his spot, the club has selected the contract of pitcher Brady Lail. In order to add Lail to the 40-man roster, the Sox have designated outfielder Luis Basabe for assignment.
