The Washington Capitals have announced that they have signed forward Conor Sheary to a one year contract that has a $735,000 cap hit. Sheary is expected to play as a middle-six forward on either the second or third line. This move also gives the Capitals more depth at forward. For the Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres in 2019-20, Sheary played in 63 games scoring 10 goals, tallying 13 assists, and a -5 rating, plus had a 50.3% Corsi-for percentage. He also has Stanley Cup winning experience having helped Pittsburgh win in 2016 and 2017.
