The Capitals have signed forward Daniel Sprong to a two year, one-way contract for $725,000 average annual salary. Sprong was acquired in a trade for Christian Djoos last season from the Anaheim Ducks. He's got some good offensive skills as he can score a lot and that could help the team for next year. He probably will compete for a bottom six role, but Sprong will need to work on his defensive skills as that have hurt his chances at getting regular NHL playing time.
