Capitals' Michal Kempny Out 6-8 Months

The Capitals have announced that defenseman Michal Kempny will have surgery on his Achilles' tendon and to miss 6-8 months. His expected return date is April-June 2021 effectively ruling him out for the 2020/21 season. Whether he can return for playoff action is to be determined, but it is a good bet Kempny will not be able to play.
