The Capitals have decided to part ways with head coach Todd Reirden after only two seasons. It seemed as though the team was not happy that the team had consecutive first round exits in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Despite winning back-to-back Metropolitan Division titles and a 89-46-16 record, the front office wasn't satisfied enough. Now the Capitals will be looking for a new head coach for the 2020-21 season.
