Bath Adds Ben Spencer, Will Spencer, and Juan Schoeman

Bath has confirmed and announced three new signings as scrumhalf Ben Spencer, Will Spencer, and prop Juan Schoeman have all joined the club. These three are all major moves, including Ben Spencer, as Bath have added some quality and class players. This should make them more formidable in 2020-21.

Bath has been looking for a more class scrumhalf for quite some time, but Ben Spencer coming over will be that type of player they have been looking for. With the relegation of Saracens, Spencer was allowed to leave if wanted and ultimately decided on Bath. During his nine year career for the Saracens, he has scored 276 points in 82 appearances. He has also international experience having played for England in the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Spencer signed a three year contract.

Will Spencer will be coming back to Bath after playing at Worcester and Leicester. Spencer was originally a Bath academy product, but now he will be coming back. How he will be used is unknown, but he is another quality player that makes the club's second row better and deeper.

Juan Schoeman is coming all the way from South Africa having played for Super Rugby franchise the Sharks. Schoeman plays as a loosehead prop, but whether he'll start or comes in as a replacement is unknown. Either way, he makes the depth of the front row even deeper with a lot of quality.
